Swap & New Labels

.... what should I say...do you see this...?? This was what
arrived last week from the lovely Jodie from Ric-Rac....
We did a 'little' swap...but I think she forgot about the word little...

First there was the wrapping...sooo beautiful in red (of course)
and with nice ribbons..I just couldn't help myself and couldn't
wait to take a picture.... Inside was all this lovelyness....
Isn't it breathtaking?? the cards, the dress...

My favorite australian designer fabric from Aunty Cookie...

And as ifn't that wasn't enough...this lovely teapot softie! Ohh
my.... from the minute I saw it I fell in love!!! It is the best softy
I ever saw on this planet...Thank you sooooooooo much Jodie!
You made my day!!

Also arrived last week: new labels..this time I
ordered 1000 of them..let's see how long it'll
take to finish them..

Enjoy you day!

Atc's, pencilroll and a swap.

Look at these cute ATC's...aren't they adorable? they were send
to me by the lovely Iris..she makes lots of them you can see
them on her blog.
Even the children liked them (the one in the front was for my
youngest boy). The oldest one didn't even let me take a picture
of his one...they are really cute, tiny and so detailed! Thank you
Iris! a little something comes your way...almost finished :)

A couple of nights before I promised my oldest boy to make
him a pencil roll since he spent the whole day colouring. He
really likes it! It's so nice that you''re own handwork turns out
to be so usefull.

I'm planning to do more sewing but I ran out of labels...hmmm
I ordered them already but it'll take a couple of weeks till they
arrive...maybe I can finally sew the curtains for my boys room...
hmm not a bad idea at all!

And then the swap. I was just reading some blogs (the children are
asleep) and came around Kate's blog.... a couple of days ago she
wrote this lovely toadstool tutorial and now she is hosting a
toadstool swap! I'm totally in love with toadstools (or actually
anything which is red and has white dots as you all know of course :))
so I had to sign up. The season here is not really toadstool'ish but
I'll forget about that and strawberries and all and make a pretty
toadstool! You'll see my progress overhere of course.

Now have a lovely sunny day! I'm going to do some more potatoe-
planting and watering the little plants in our 'moestuin' (vegetable garden).

More to sew..

Today I made these bibs...Loved to do it! It's a little project
yet it looks great! I struggeld to get the snaps in place...but now
I know how to do it so I learned something as well. Tomorrow
I will make more!!!! Also want to make a bigger size since these
are for infants only. Have to adjust the pattern first though.

These little hedgehocks (are they called like that?) are only
one inch big (or shall I say small) and I will sell them on the
upcoming fair. Love to make them!

This wonderfull package I've got from the lovely Michele.
The magazine is full of wonderfull projects such as a pincushion
by Anna Maria Horner and lots of quilts...Very inspiring!
The lovely bird is hanging in my eastern tree...looks lovely!!
Thank you so much Michele for sending me this treat!!

I'm off to bed now since my sons will wake me up in a couple
of hours :(

Take care

Gifts

Some freshly washed fabrics hanging down above the staircase...one of my favorite places in the house...it's looking so bright...Just love it.

And then this one... Do you remember I took part in the apron swap of the lovely Abby !? Well this is what the mailman brought me! A bundle of joy! It couldn't be more perfect...This apron is soooo me! I tried to take an overall picture but it just didn't do any right to this beautiful peace of handwork. It was made by Jenni from Texas Usa. Unfortunately she has no blog. But she told me this was only the 2nd time she ever made an apron! wow...that girl has potential! It's so nicely sewn and decorated with the buttons....just love it! Thank you soo much Jenni!!

If that wasn't enough the other day arrived this wonderfull package od joy... from the lovely Emily. I couldn't believe it but this beautiful bracelet she made it herself! wow...terrific job Emily! Thank you so much!! I'm so overwhelmed by all this blog-happiness :)
