new projects...

This is my latest finished favorite...a little pouch (pattern is from
the Tilda book 'Sew Pretty Homestyle') on which I embroidered
these two little hedgehogs.. I also cut a tiny hedgehog out offelt
and attached it to the zipper... looks cute doesn't it?

This boy is also a cutie! looks how he holds his pencil...trying
not to cross the lines...

And this is my next project...a rather big one! A table cloth
to be embroidered by me...My sweet grandma (who sadly enough
passed away when I was a little girl) used to make a lot of these.
We always used them at christmas, easter and other festive occasions.
I remember as a child to sit at the dinner table sliding with my
fingers over the flowers she had embroidered. So I decided I had
to make one myself at least once in my life. I'm making this
in honour of my grandma and hope when my children are grown
up they will have the same sweet memories as me :)

Hoi Erna,

What a lovely summer project. You will make some beautiful memories with those cross-stitched flowers, while you enjoy remembering your own grandmother.

And that hedgehog purse is adorable! The boy too. :)

Love those edgehogs - they finish off that pouch perfectly!! My grandmother also did beautiful needlework and she made me a few treasured items over the years. I'm sure your cloth will become a treasured heirloom in years to come.
