Strawberry Season

strawberry pyjama, originally uploaded by Blij Als Mij.

A while ago I found this soft lightblue strawberry flanel on the weekly market for a very good bargain. I made this pyjama for 5-year old and he loves it! He doesn't wear it at night actually because it would be too hot...but it's perfect for those early mornings when the sun isn't warm yet and the house cold...he loves it and already picked some fabric for another one!
The pattern is from an vintage german children's clothes book which my mother bought and used to make clothes from when I was a little girl....so nice that it survived all those years and now I can make clothes for my children from the same book.

I'm working on another skirt for me now....working on that summer-to-do-list..you know... but I'll definitely make some more of these pyjama's too!

note: the skirt I made as posted in ' celebrating summer' I made with a pattern from ottobre woman nr 2, 2006.

Hi Erna,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
I'm so glad you like my "Matryoshka dolls". Their faces are done with acrylic fabric paints and I took inspiration from a store in Melbourne called "Babushkas". On their store bag is a wonderful "girl" with a beautiful face. So I thank "Babushkas"!
The pyjamas look wonderful - the fabric is great! No wonder he loves them...
Bye for now, Kathryn.
